Add
one tablespoon of air-dry soil into a plastic cup. |

Add
one tablespoon of distilled water and mix throughly with a
spatula for 5 seconds. |

Add
2 drops of 2.0 M Calcium Chloride solution. |

Read
the pHs after half an hour. |
| 5. |
After
reading the pH, add one tablespoon of the Woodruff Buffer
solution. |
| 6. |
Stir
intermittently over a 30 minute period and then measure the pH. |
