Diesel Technology Program

 
Two programs are offered in Diesel Technology: 

The A.A.S. program was patterned after an industrial training curriculum and offers courses in agriculture, industrial and vehicular mechanics. The program provides the courses necessary to start at the technician level and move to management within a business. The curriculum is designed to prepare students who may consider additional course work after completing their two-year degree.

The A.O.S. program also consists of courses in agriculture, industrial and vehicular mechanics. The curriculum is best suited for those students who wish to find immediate employment after graduation. The student takes a variety of courses to gain a broad background in the state-of-the-art of technology. 

 
Recent graduates of the Diesel Technology programs are pursuing the following careers:
  • Diesel technician
  • Vocational teacher
  • Parts technician
  • Factory representative
  • Heavy equipment technician
  • Heavy truck technician
  • Farm and industrial equipment technician
  • Service manager
  • Diesel fuel system technician
  • Electric power generation technician
