The School of
Agriculture and Natural Resources at
Morrisville State College would like
to welcome you to our website. Since 1908, the school has
educated thousands of students who entered the workforce and
became the technological backbone of the regional economy.
Our education emphasizes technology, business entrepreneurship,
and hands-on experiences.
The School of
Agriculture and Natural Resources is committed to preparing
students for careers with endless possibilities, or providing
them with the educational background for transfer to other upper
division programs or professional and graduate schools. Students learn to
become technologists and leaders who
contribute to the regional economy and also transform the
associated industries and render them more competitive.
The School of
Agriculture and Natural Resources is comprised of five academic
departments, a Renewable Energy Training Center, an Agricultural Station (475+ acres),
approximately 500 students, and 40 faculty and staff. The School offers
more than 20 degree programs at the certificate, associate, and bachelor
levels. Many of these are laptop programs integrating
computer technology with instruction.
An Equine Complex was completed in 2000
along with a new Dairy Complex
(including two heifer barns that were constructed in 2004), Horticultural Complex,
and indoor horse riding arenas. The
school was involved in state- and federally-funded projects to develop
an anaerobic digester and an
agri-business incubator. Work is currently under way on the
construction of a new equine rehabilitation center. The new
and existing facilities are testaments to the college's commitment to
providing students with quality education and exposing
them to state-of-the-art technology.
