The School of
Agriculture and Natural Resources at
Morrisville State College would like
to welcome you to our web site. Since 1908, the School has
educated thousands of students who entered the workforce and
became the technological backbone of the regional economy.
Our education emphasizes technology, business entrepreneurship,
and hands-on experiences.
The School of
Agriculture and Natural Resources is committed to preparing
students for careers with endless possibilities, or providing
them with the educational background for transfer to other upper
division programs or professional and graduate schools. The
School educates technologists and leaders who will not only
contribute to the regional economy, but also transform the
associated industries and render them more competitive.
The School of
Agriculture and Natural Resources is comprised of five academic
departments, an Agricultural Station (475+ acres), in excess of
500 students, and 40 faculty and staff. The School offers
18 degree programs at the certificate, associate, and bachelor

computer technology with instruction.
A new Equine Complex was completed in
2000 (click here
to view some of the pictures on this new facility and other School
facilities that were under construction at the time) and the construction on
new Dairy Complex
(including two heifer barns that were constructed in 2004), Horticultural Complex,
and indoor horse riding arenas were also completed (click here

School was involved in a state-funded projects to develop an
agri-business incubator. Work is currently underway on the
construction of a plug-flow hard-top methane digester at
the new dairy facility. The new
and existing facilities are testaments to our commitment to
providing our students with quality education and exposing
them to the state-of-the-art in technology.
Over the past several years, the School of
Agriculture and Natural Resources has developed and received approval
for many new academic programs. Among these are the Dairy Equipment Technology
Associate of Applied Science (AAS),
the Landscape Architecture
Studies AAS, and Diesel
Equipment Technology AAS, the Environmental and Natural Resources
Associate of Science (AS), the Renewable
Resources Bachelor of Technology (BT), and the Dairy Management BT.
Additional programs are at various
stages of development. Program development is a
continuous process and is our response to the changing needs
of the industry.
