farm equipment industry today serves not only the commercial
farmer but also is one of the major suppliers of such equipment
as riding lawn mowers, roto tillers, garden tractors, chain
saws, and related gardening equipment. In addition, light
industrial equipment such as backhoes and small bulldozers for
industrial uses are also served by the farm equipment industry.
After
graduation, students pursue careers in areas such as:
- Sales,
service, and distribution of farm equipment and supplies
- Sales,
service, and distribution of petroleum products, and small
power equipment
- Construction
- Refrigeration
- Plumbing
and electricity
- Farm
service representatives
- Industrial
plant maintenance
In
addition, students may transfer to four-year academic
institutions. Students who wish to transfer to a four-year
program can do so by taking six credits of mathematics in
consultation with their academic advisors. |
