SNFM is the empowerment of mind, body, and spirit to maximize individual potential. By properly training the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems, we can make daily tasks easier. Through healthful eating and positive lifestyle habits, we can prevent illness and disease. Although nothing can avert death, we know that we have the power to delay it. SNFM seeks to create skilled leaders with a unique and exceptional ability to educate, to motivate, and to support others in the quest for personal health, wellness, and success. Our students are on their way to becoming Athletic Trainers, Physical Education teachers, Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructors, Fitness Instructors and Community Health Educators.

Students who pursue the Sports, Nutrition and Fitness Management degree will receive an Associate in Science degree in preparation for transfer to upper division programs in career fields such as physical education, athletic training, exercise science, cardiac rehabilitation, or health education. Some students may, instead, seek employment upon graduation in fitness centers, corporate wellness programs, or recreational facilities. The material covered in the SNFM program is designed to facilitate all graduates in the obtainment of certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Health Fitness Instructor (Health Fitness Track) or an Exercise Specialist (Clinical Track).
