Construction and Building
In these curriculums, emphasized most is the practical hands on experience. In state of the art facilities you are kept on the cutting edge of modern technology practices.
You are able to work on the off-site “from the ground up” home building project, in the furniture lab or Finish-carpentry facility, in an 11,368 square foot greenhouse, the residential construction lab with framing, plumbing and heating labs or in the Architectural studies and design studio.
This technical knowledge, coupled with the development of business skills through coursework, prepares you for a range of occupations including building and home design, framing and carpentry, lumber grading, estimating, or sales.
You may also choose to look in the fields of landscape design and development, parks management or environmental design. Continuing your education to any of our transfer options is also available if you are thinking of becoming an architect or environmental engineer.
