This course consists of basic mathematics with the ground work for introductory algebra. Topics include operations with whole numbers, integers, fractions, decimals, percents and application problems for each area. Students will learn strategies for solving problems without the use of a calculator. The goal of Prealgebra is to prepare the student to deal with math as it occurs in everyday life and to prepare the student for introductory algebra.
