OFFT 100: Introduction to Word Processing Software

Proper word processing skills are vital to any career you are looking to enter. This hands-on course introduces the concept of using word processing software to create letters, memos, reports and other documents in a professional manner. In addition, this course also focuses on creating documents with graphs, charts, and tables to make it easier and more descriptive in communicating information. The course covers formatting features such as using borders, Word Art, merging data into a letter, shading text, inputting bullets, using spell check and auto correct, and creating envelopes and labels, etc. Windows Explorer is used to help students in stetting up their files in organized folders.

Prerequisites: Students must have Microsoft Word software and e-mail capability.
