Admission Requirements
The following are important requirements to consider as you apply to Morrisville State College:The Application Process
- Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible during their senior year of high school.
- The SUNY application allows you to apply to several colleges at once. Applications cost $40 for each college to which you apply.
- Your full name must appear on all materials sent to the Admissions Office.
- If your transcripts have a different name than the one you used on your application (i.e. maiden name), you must notify the Admissions office.
- If you will be attending the Norwich Campus, you must indicate "NORWICH" under "special campus project" on the "my campus selections" page of the online application.
- Do not send application fees to Morrisville. You will need to pay for your application online (through the SUNY application website) or select "mail in payment" to be billed by the SUNY Application Service Center.
The Evaluation Process
- Candidates are evaluated for admission on a rolling basis. Notification of acceptance begins November 1.
- Students are admitted to specific programs rather than to a general freshman program.
- Special consideration is given to students with demonstrated interest in the area to which they are applying.
- Recommendations are encouraged.
- High school preparation requirements vary by curriculum. Review the college catalog for details.
- Candidates must be high school graduates or equivalent with grades that meet the requirements of the specific program they are applying to.
- Scores in SAT/ACT examinations are required for bachelor degrees.
- Admission is offered on a space available basis to students who meet admission criteria for the program to which they apply. Some programs may attain full enrollment and close throughout the year.
Visiting the Campus
- All prospective students are invited to visit the campus.
- Interviews and tours are strongly encouraged, but are not required.
- Interviews and tours are available on a daily basis and may be arranged by calling the Admissions Office.
