Why did you choose to attend Morrisville?

“I chose Morrisville because of the size and the breath-taking country atmosphere. I really like it because it’s a small country college. When I went to open house, the professors were friendly and everyone I ran into was so friendly and helpful. The class sizes are small, which I preferred because of individualized attention. I didn't want to be just another number at a college; I wanted to be known by name. The professors here are very kind and caring and they want their students to do well. The students are all very friendly as well. It is like a small community and I love it here! I don’t think I could see myself being anywhere else. It’s kind of like my second home and it’s perfect for me.”

What activities have you been involved with on and off campus?

“I’m a Resident Assistant in Fountain View Hall, and I love my residents, they are all great. I’m also involved in Phi Theta Kappa. It’s nice because it allows you to do community service. I recently joined the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), I’m also on the Dean’s list, and I recently started to volunteer at Wanderers Rest in Canastota, a local animal shelter, I keep really busy in and around campus.”

What “fun fact” can you tell us about Morrisville that is not well known?

“I found out recently that Morrisville has an aquaponics building where they raise fish. I didn’t realize that they actually did all that. I always thought of them as just equine and barn animals, but I’d love to see what it looks like, because they have a big center with all different kind of fish and things.”

What MSC professor has influenced you? Why?

“Professor Cydney Johnson; she’s a business professor. She stuck out the most because even though she teaches, she also works for another company traveling and working in sales. She’s very organized and also a very successful business person. Professor Johnson really stuck out to me because she is such a hard worker and has a lot to offer her students.”

What has been your favorite campus event or activity?

“I really enjoyed the Grease musical. It was the first musical I’ve been to here and I was really impressed because they did a really good job.”

What are your plans after college and/or your career goals?

“After I graduate with my associates in accounting, I’m not sure what I want to do. I might continue for my bachelor’s degree, or start working in an office. I think I want to do bookkeeping, or something related to that, I plan on seeing where the road takes me.”

What advice would you give other students?

“I would tell other students to just continue working hard and don’t give up, because even though it’s a long road it will pay off. I know there are ups and downs, but you have to keep pushing yourself. Just take it one day at a time.”
