Alumni Profile: Lindsay Easterly
Hometown: Cazenovia, NY
Graduation Year: May 2014
Why did you choose to attend Morrisville?
“It’s close by, since I live in Cazenovia and I was also recruited by the volleyball coach.”
What activities have you been involved with on and/or off campus?
“Volleyball and intramurals. I really enjoy playing volleyball.”
What “fun fact” can you tell us about Morrisville that is not well known?
“Since it’s such a small school, you have the chance to get to know everyone.”
What MSC professor has influenced you? Why?
“Professor Livingston, he’s my Liberal Arts advisor right now and I have also taken a bunch of classes with him. He’s been there to help me out through many classes.”
What has been your favorite campus event or activity?
“I think watching all the sports and teams play on campus is my favorite thing to do. I spend a lot of my time playing volleyball, so I’ve missed a lot of the fall activities. I look forward to attending some in the spring.”
What are your plans after college and/or your career goals?
“I’m going to try to get into an animal related business. I’ve always loved animals and they’ve always loved me. My sister has also influenced me to go into some sort of major to work with animals, so I can work at the local SPCA or something similar.”
What advice would you give other students?
“Choose something that you want to major in when you come to college. It’s a lot easier when you know what you want to do and have a major that fits those goals. It’s hard to think of what you want to major in when you’re 18 years old, but it will make it easier on yourself if you at least have an idea of what you want to do.”
