Why Morrisville?
“ I picked Morrisville because it was different. I am from an urban setting and I believed that college was the perfect time for change and personal growth. What more change then a change in scenery? I want to travel the world when I get older. Morrisville offered not only something new and different, but also a setting that's more common in the world. ”
What activities have you been involved with on and off campus?
“ I play soccer and run cross country for the school. I am also a Resident Assistant and I am on the college's Dance Team. ”
What "fun fact" can you tell us about Morrisville that is not well known?
“ Morrisville State may be located in a rural setting but it is very diverse and I love it. ”
What MSC professor has influenced you and why?
“ There are two professors who have influenced me: Gregory Sydoriw and my advisor, Brian McDowell. Both professors helped to make the transition from high school to a college easier. They have a passion for what they do, and they pass that on through their energetic and informative lectures. Professor McDowell helped me decide what major I wanted to pursue. None of the professors I have are boring, and they know your name. They know when you're not in class and you're not just a number in a seat. ”
What has been your favorite campus event or activity?
“ I love the dance and talent competitions the school has; a lot of people come out to those events. People have a chance to express themselves though dance, music or art. ”
What are your plans after college or your career goals?
“ I dream big. My goals are to graduate with my BA within 3 years and get my Master's. I want to have my own column and write for an online source about political and governmental affairs. I also want to go to law school and help make a change. I want to inform the people of what's going on and help promote change. ”
