For an accelerated route to working for a Ford dealership, choose SUNY Morrisville’s Ford ASSET (Automotive Student Service Educational Training) program and gain valuable real-life experience working as an actual employee in the auto industry.

The Ford ASSET program is a cooperative education partnership among SUNY Morrisville, Ford and Lincoln Dealers, and Ford Motor Company. Gain on-the-job training at a sponsoring Ford or Lincoln dealership while earning an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in automotive technology.

This NATEF-certified Master Automobile Service Technology Program is taught and administered by ASE Master Certified Technicians.

Along with four semesters of on-campus study, you will work at a Ford dealership during holiday breaks and summers throughout your two years in the program. Courses will feature Ford-supplied vehicles and components, and when you graduate, you receive an associate degree and Ford certification, recognized by dealerships across the country.

You can also prepare to transfer to Morrisville’s Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree program in automotive technology or our Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree program in automotive management.

You’ll learn and work in a 50,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility that features industry-standard labs with 26 lifts for diagnosis of drivability problems, auto body repair and refinishing, fuel systems, brakes, steering, suspensions, automatic transmissions and engines.

You also will be encouraged to join our Automotive Club, which hosts fall and spring car shows and participates at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) automotive trade show.
