| The
bachelor of technology degree in automotive technology
at Morrisville State College will prepare students for
entry into industry at a supervisory or managerial level
where technical knowledge of all aspects of the automotive
industry is necessary. This course of study extends
the technical automotive education provided by a traditional
associate of applied science degree, adding a business
management emphasis at the baccalaureate level.
Students will take courses
in traditional automotive areas such as chassis analysis,
electronics, engines, body, electronic fuel systems
and engine performance. In their junior and senior years,
students will take advanced automotive and management
courses. These courses include: advanced chassis, transmissions,
body, and driveability as well as marketing and automotive
management systems. In the spring of their senior year,
students are required to complete an internship in an
automotive or transportation-related business. |
