Community Service Initiative
The mission of the Community Service Initiative Program of Morrisville State College is to enhance the learning environment, to foster civic responsibility, and to meet the needs of the community by providing opportunities for employees and students to use their skills and knowledge in service to the community. The Community Service Initiative involves Morrisville State College faculty/staff and students teaming up to help out in the community—volunteering to perform an array of tasks and services needed by residents in neighboring areas.
Please contact our coordinator to discuss your desired service by emailing csi@morrisville.edu or call 684-6854. Requested services could include specialized skills, interests and services ranging from: outdoor jobs such as raking leaves, gardening, shoveling, and providing transportation; indoor jobs such as cleaning, cooking, reading, tutoring; or specialized items such as automotive assistance, landscaping, equipment repair, home repair, tax assistance or marketing. Your needs will then be assessed and potentially matched with faculty/staff and student volunteers.
