Nothing is more hands-on. Literally.

Through the SUNY Morrisville Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree program in massage therapy, you will learn how to help people restore their health and enhance their well-being.

With growing recognition in the medical community, our massage therapy program will introduce you to all forms of massage therapy and its integral role in healthcare through the skilled manipulation of the soft structures of the body.

You will first learn the basics of massage as full relaxation and transition into working on certain areas of the body, before practicing advanced modalities like pre-natal and sports massage, cupping, myofacial release and Lomi Lomi massage.

You’ll study and gain hands-on experience in our true-to-life, on-campus Massage Therapy Clinic, where you will work directly with the public and campus community. You also will be exposed to off-campus clinical events with special populations such as athletes, infants and the elderly.

The program, which also features a strong background in biology, meets the requirements for you to take the New York State Massage Therapy Exam, where our students have regularly seen a 100-percent pass rate.

After graduation, you can work as a self-employed professional or in spas, hospitals, physical therapy offices or chiropractic offices, athletic training centers, professional sports organizations, gyms and fitness centers, resorts and cruise ships.
