Zbikowski named to Victory Promotions Invitational All-Tournament Team

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville State College freshman setter, Deanna Zbikowski (North Syracuse, NY) earned all-Tournament team honors at the Victory Promotions Invitational held at SUNY Potsdam over the course of the weekend’s action, leading the Mustangs efforts.

Morrisville State went 0-4 over the course of the weekend, dropping matches to Buffalo State, Clarkson, Hamilton and host SUNY Potsdam.

Over the course of the weekend Zbikowski recorded 41 assists, eight defensive digs, four service aces and two kills for the Mustangs.

Angelina Ciaschi (Ithaca, NY) added 16 kills for Morrisville State with teammate Nicole Wright (Dryden, NY) tallying 14. Wright added 35 digs to the defensive efforts as Devan Hirst (Cobleskill, NY) led the Mustangs with 36.

Morrisville State (2-6) returns to the court Saturday at Alfred University for a tri-match with Alfred and D’Youville.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
