Cerbino named SUNYAC Player of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has named Morrisville State sophomore forward, Chris Cerbino (Highland, NY) its Ice Hockey Player of the Week for the week ending November 14.

Cerbino notched his first two scores of the season in a 1-1 week for Morrisville State, netting the game winning score on a power play midway through the third period to propel the Mustangs to a 3-2 upset win over eighth nationally ranked SUNY Plattsburgh on Saturday.

The Canterbury School graduate is majoring in business administration at Morrisville State. He is the son of Linda and Carl Cerbino of Highland, New York.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
