Morrisville State men clinch regular season title, host NEAC playoffs

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College men’s lacrosse team completed the 2012 Northeastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) schedule with a perfect 7-0 record, claiming their third regular season conference title in three years, and will host the championship tournament Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6.

The top seeded Mustangs finished the regular season with a 10-3 overall record, and will host fourth seed Medaille College (7-6, 5-3 NEAC) Saturday at 11:30 at Drake Field on the Morrisville State campus.

Morrisville State defeated Medaille 16-15 in overtime on April 21.

The second semi-final will feature second seed Keuka College (9-4, 7-1 NEAC) and third seed Cazenovia College (7-7, 6-2 NEAC) at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Keuka defeated Cazenovia 15-4 last week.

The winners of Saturday’s semi-finals will advance to the championship game held Sunday at 1 p.m.
