Morrisville State College to host open house Oct. 1

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.--On Oct. 1, Morrisville State College will host prospective students and their families during a day-long open house. The college will offer a variety of activities designed to introduce students to Morrisville State and assist them with the college search process.

The open house sessions will enable prospective students to see the campus, attend brunch and a financial aid workshop, meet with deans, faculty and staff and tour the college’s academic facilities. Representatives of campus departments, including residence life and athletics, will be available to meet with students and parents in an effort to provide them with as much information as possible about life and education at Morrisville State College.

In addition, prospective students will have the opportunity to participate in Mustang Weekend, a combination alumni/family/homecoming celebration, which is held on campus Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

“An open house provides our prospective students with the opportunity to see Morrisville State College and decide if Morrisville is a good fit for them,” Tim Williams, dean of enrollment management, said. “Morrisville State offers a number of unique opportunities and facilities that students won’t find anywhere else. We’re always happy to have the opportunity to show off our campus and help students make informed choices about their future academic goals.”

Another open house will be held on campus Nov. 12, and one more is scheduled for the spring.

Last fall, open houses brought more than 700 prospective students and their families to the Morrisville campus.
