Peckham named NEAC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Year

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. –The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office has announced its individual award winners, naming Morrisville State College’s freshman defender Danny Peckham (Webster, N.Y.) the Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Year.

Although only a first-year player, Peckham was the leader of a Morrisville State defense that had five shutouts and just a 1.37 goal against average on the year, which included four shutouts and 1.08 GAA in conference action.  A sound one-on-one defender, Peckham proved to also be an offensive threat, as he tallied five goals, including a game winner.  His dual abilities led to one NEAC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week selection.

Peckham is the son of Scott Peckham and Sally Amos and is majoring in Automotive Technology at Morrisville State College.
