Morrisville State College Choir to Present Holiday Concert

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.— The Morrisville State College Choir will present its first-ever holiday concert on Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Little Theater inside the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities.

Directed by Susan Sady and accompanied by trumpet and piano, the choir will perform a variety of holiday music from baroque to contemporary. The audience will be asked to join the choir in singing Christmas carols during the second half of the concert.

A casual reception will be held immediately following the event, which is free and open to the public.

The Morrisville State College Choir is made up of students, faculty, staff and community members. Formed this semester, the group performed its inaugural public concert during the college’s Mustang Weekend in October.

Morrisville State College offers 13 bachelor degrees and a wide variety of associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine. The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus also offers programs in business, technologies, liberal arts/education transfer, and nursing to Chenango County area residents and employers.
