Morrisville State hunt seat equestrian team ninth at Skidmore

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team placed ninth on Saturday at the Skidmore show, tallying 19 team points and placing individuals in the top of their respective classes.

Julia Harrison and Aileen Couture each earned top honors, placing first in the novice equitation on the flat and advanced walk trot canter classes, respectively.

Other top finishers include: Courtney Nellis, second in the open equitation over fences; Sarah Lowe, second in open equitation on the flat and open equitation over fences; David Sookey, second in the intermediate equitation on the flat class; and Meghan Hathaway, second in novice equitation over fences.

Skidmore was the high point team with 46 points. Cornell University was second with 45.
