Wrestling places seventh at Plymouth Invite

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The Morrisville State College wrestling team placed seventh overall at the Plymouth State College Invitational Wrestling Tournament Sunday afternoon, tallying 26 team points.

Morrisville State’s Aljamain Sterling (Uniondale, NY) and Toby Reese (Homer, NY) each placed fourth in their respective weight classes to lead the Mustangs.

At 133 pounds, Sterling was defeated by Andrew Armstrong (USCGA) before tallying four straight wins for the fourth place finish.

Reese recorded two wins before falling in the semi’s to John Dack from NYU, sending him to the consolation round. Reese defeated Nick Allegratta (RWU) before falling to Dan Rokas (RWU) by a 9-3 decision for fourth place.

Morrisville State returns to the mats Friday at the New York State Championship Tournament at the University of Buffalo.
