Francois leads Oswego in win over Morrisville State men

OSWEGO, NY - Junior forward Stanley Francois (Valley Cottage/ SUNY Cobleskill) recorded a “double-double” with game highs of 26 points and 26 rebounds, shooting 11-for-16 from the field in an Oswego State victory over Morrisville State, 76-61, on Saturday Dec. 6 at Max Ziel Gymnasium. The 26 rebounds is the fourth best single game performance in school history and is the first player in 41 years to record 24 or more rebounds in a game. Senior guard Tommy Downing (Staten Island/ Curtis) also posted a “double-double” with 15 points and 10 assists, going 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, freshmen forward Chad Burridge (Hannibal) added 14 points and four rebounds, and senior guard Kyle Reuter (Mexico) contributed 11 points and three steals while going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.

Freshmen guard Elonzo Wilson (Syracuse/Fowler) lead the Mustangs (0-5, 0-2 SUNYAC) with 16 points shooting a perfect 10-for-10 from the foul line. Freshmen guard Kyle Gordon (Riverhead) registered a “double-double” with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
