Ryan leads Oswego women to win over Morrisville

OSWEGO, NY - Freshman forward Kayla Ryan (Schaghticoke/Hoosick Valley) recorded her first “double-double” leading all players with 19 points and pulling down 11 rebounds as Oswego State recorded its second consecutive win with a 60 -52 triumph over Morrisville State in a SUNYAC game at Max Ziel Gymnasium on Saturday Dec. 6. Sophomore guard Traci Bacon (Massena) scored 13 points, hitting three of six 3-pointers, connected on all four
free-throw attempts, and dished out three assists and registered three steals, while sophomore forward Colleen McCready (Pittsford/Pittsford Mendon) contributed 10 points (8-for-10 free-throw shooting) and six rebounds.

Freshman guard Sybil Stanton (Walton) led Morrisville with 14 points, hitting three of five shots beyond the arc, while junior guard Tekesha Hanson (Queens/John Bowne) contributed 10 points and four steals. Freshman forward Caroline Francis (Bronx/Patterson School Prep) added seven points and pulled down a game high 12 rebounds, while sophomore forward Ebony Whitfield (Benton Harbor, MI/Benton Harbor) grabbed 10 rebounds and contributed eight points.
