Children’s Center at Morrisville State College to Hold First 5K Run and FunRun

MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—The Children’s Center at Morrisville State College, Inc., will hold its first Race for ChildRUN July 18 at 8:30 a.m.

The run, which starts near Bailey Hall on the Morrisville State College Campus, will include a 5k race and a 1 mile FunRun for younger children and their friends and family.

Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers overall in addition to age group awards. There will also be door prizes.

The race registration fee is $15 in advance or $20 the day of the race, $5 for anyone 13 to 18 years old and free for children under 12.

The race is being held in conjunction with the first Courtyard Arts and Crafts hosted by the Madison Hall Association.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options including a new bachelor degree in business administration, a bachelor of technology degree in criminal justice and an associate degree in renewable energy technology.

Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college was the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
