Berks nets 56-37 win over Morrisville State women

READING, PA – Host Penn State Berks women’s basketball held a one point advantage at the half before outscoring visiting Morrisville State College 36-18 in the second half enroute to the 56-37 victory Saturday afternoon in Reading, PA.

Courtney Bailey led Berks with 19 points and 15 rebounds, hitting 7-of-12 shots from the floor. Sam Westcott added 10 points for the Nittany Lions in the win while teammate Steph Binder tallied nine points and nine boards.

Morrisville State senior guard Tekesha Hanson (Queens, NY) paced the Mustangs with 18 points and seven boards, stealing three. Bette Davis (Bronx, NY) added 10 points.

Morrisville State drops to 2-10 on the season and returns to the court tomorrow at Penn State Abington for a 2 p.m. tip-off.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
