Hinchey named NEAC Athlete of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has named Morrisville State College’s sophomore goalkeeper, Michael Hinchey (Kingston, NY) the NEAC Men’s Lacrosse athlete of the Week for the week ending March 14.

Hinchey assisted the Mustangs to their first win of the season, recording 14 saves (.737 percent) in net as Morrisville State earned the 9-5 victory over Marywood on Wednesday. He also tallied two ground balls.

The 2008 graduate of Kingston High School is majoring in business administration at Morrisville State. He is the son of Barbara and Michael Hinchey of Lake Katrine, New York.

Morrisville State College offers more than 80 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
