Ward, Stein named Mustang Athletes of the Week

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College athletics department has named Lesa Ward (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) and Andrew Stein (Oswego, N.Y.) it’s Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 18.

Ward was instrumental to a 1-1 week for the women’s lacrosse team, recording two team points on a goal and an assist. Against Westfield on Friday, Ward recorded a team best five draw controls, while adding two ground balls and causing a turnover.

The sophomore attacker is majoring in health related studies at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Joanne Civrzynski of South Glens Falls.

Stein led Morrisville State to a 16-10 victory over Alfred on Saturday, posting five goals on eight total shots and assisted two others. He also collected two ground balls in the victory.

He currently leads Morrisville State in scoring with nine goals and three assists (12 points).

The senior midfielder is majoring in business administration at Morrisville State. He is the son of Robert and Phyllis Stein of Oswego.
