Criminal Justice A.A.S. :: Career Opportunities
This program is designed to effectively prepare students to enter law enforcement and security careers or to pursue an advanced degree. Graduates of the program will be able to secure entry level employment in public and private law enforcement and investigative agencies.Area corrections and police agencies have indicated a strong interest in this program and anticipate openings for graduates. Potential local employers include: municipal and state police, county sheriff's departments, New York State Department of Corrections, municipal and state court systems, corporate security companies and more.
Although this program is not designed as a transfer program, conversations with representatives of area institutions suggest that graduates of the Criminal Justice program will receive favorable consideration for admission to bachelor degree programs. Norwich Campus graduates have continued their education at the Morrisville State College main campus, Binghamton University, SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Cortland and other schools.
