Criminal Justice A.A.S. :: Program Strengths

• Students will develop proficiency with critical thinking, writing and communication.
• An insight into the use of technology to process evidence and facilitate criminal justice goals will result in graduates having more career opportunities.
• Graduates will gain expertise regarding components of law enforcement, courts, corrections, parole, probation and alternatives to sentences.
• The scope of the program includes examination of the nature of crime and delinquency among both juveniles and adults.
• Evaluation of the application of criminal justice related laws and its impact on the general public gives students an awareness of the place of their profession in the greater society.
• Students will become proficient in the identification, collection and preservation of all forms of evidence.
• The program endorses personal practices promoting good nutrition, physical training and self-protection to counter physical and emotional demands of law enforcement and security-related careers.

• Exercise professionalism in executing entry-level duties in law enforcement and other criminal justice careers.
