Human Services A.A.S.

Home

Human service organizations face an ever-growing demand for qualified employees. With the addition of the degree in Human Services, Morrisville State College's Norwich Campus is prepared to contribute to the health and welfare of residents of both the local area and New York state by educating individuals who will go on to play a significant role in maintaining and improving the quality of life and economic vitality of individuals, families, groups, and organizations in New York.

This program has been designed to meet immediate employment needs of our students while still keeping the transfer option available to students who decide to continue their education. Throughout the Human Services curriculum, attention is given to self-exploration and continued personal growth and lifelong learning. Core human service coursework consciously assimilates the use of technology into instructional techniques and assignments. Students will prepare for effective human service work with individuals, families, groups, communities, and human service organizations. Theories will be examined associated with individual, family, organizational, community, and societal systems.
