Morrisville State College has a long history of excellence in agriculture education. The college currently offers associate degree programs in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Mechanics, Animal Science—Dairy, Agricultural Science, Equine Science and Management and Equine Racing Management, Horticulture, Aquaculture and Aquatic Science, Environmental Sciences, and other related areas. Many of the existing degrees share a close relationship with the Agricultural Business Development degree. The diversity and flexibility of the college's agriculture programs allows students additional academic and career flexibility. Students who complete associate (2-year) degrees in related areas at Morrisville State College, including any agriculture of business degree may choose to continue their education at Morrisville in this program. The college will continue to make every effort to respond to the needs of the agriculture industry and local communities.

Morrisville State College is committed to the promotion and expansion of agricultural business. As a part of this mission, the college has taken a number of steps to advance agricultural business. The college assisted with the development and creation of Nelson Farms and the Agribusiness Dairy Processing Plant; two state-of-the-art food processing facilities that operate in conjunction with the college. Nelson Farms is home to more than 300 specialty food product owners and designers. In 2005, the college was awarded a New York Farm Viability grant to develop an on-line farmer's market/storefront. This project will allow producers to reach markets outside of the local community.
