Students enrolled in AGBS 400 -
Marketing and Distribution of Agriculture Products will gain valuable entrepreneurship and industry experience in agricultural commodity purchasing and selling, food processing, product distribution, consumer and retail management, and financial feasibility through the creation of value added food products of their choice. Students are responsible for developing products, conducting feasibility studies and creating marketing plans for products of their choice. The value added products created by the students are sold at
Nelson Farms. All proceeds benefit the Agricultural Business program and student trips.
Students enrolled in AGBS 305 -
Agricultural Financial Decision Making will gain valuable hands on experience to Agricultural Lending by working closing with First Pioneer Farm Credit. Students are instrumental in completing Farm Appraisals and analyzing farm loan case studies.
