Program Goals

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Employ sound judgment, problem-solving and critical thinking skills when working with dairy cattle.
  • Conduct the necessary research, analysis, evaluation, and critical thinking skills required of dairy management.
  • Successfully utilize the acquired training and practical hands-on skills in a career in dairy management.

Admissions Requirements

Freshman: Desired: two units each of defined math and science and vocational agriculture. 

Transfer: Students who plan to transfer to a four-year program should elect appropriate science courses such as biology and/or chemistry, and mathematics.
