Why Morrisville?

I chose Morrisville because it was exactly what I was looking for. Right when I stepped on campus it felt right to me. The horticulture program and facilities really got my attention and I enjoy the small town feel of Morrisville. The students have a real relationship with their professors and I really feel at home here.

Spader Horticulture Center has some of the most modern, state-of-the-art facilities available to students.  These include:

  • 50-seat Lecture Hall equipped for laptop use and state-of-the-art classroom instruction aids
  • Two landscape design studios
  • Computer lab with 12 desktops equipped with CAD software
  • 11,368 square feet of greenhouse space including a high efficiency computer controlled climate, automatic heat / shade control, ebb and flood benches, tropical display, and hydroponic production areas
  • Outdoor container plant nursery
  • Botany & tissue culture labs
  • Horticulture production lab
  • Flower shop equipped with 3 walk-in coolers and a display cooler

Admissions Requirements

A minimum score of 450 English and 500 Math SAT scores are required.  

Students may transfer into this degree program after successfully completing an A.A.S. in Horticulture or a related field.Students who have completed transferable, college level course work may receive admission to the program on a case-by-case basis. A minimum 2.2 cumulative grade point average is required for transfer students.
