Course DescriptionPlant Protection
HORT 241 is an interdisciplinary introduction to the study of pest management. Ecological, biological, and economic principles will be examined from each of the following disciplines: Entomology, nematology, plant pathology, and weed science. Reasons and principles for establishing pest management programs will be discussed. Prerequisite: BIOL 102 or permission of instructor 3 credits (2 lecture hours, 2 laboratory hours), spring semester This course satisfies the Liberal Arts and Sciences requirement and the SUNY General Education Requirement for Natural Science.
