Students enrolled in the A.A.S. degree program may choose to concentrate their studies in Computer Information Systems or Business Management as well as Accounting. Students in both programs may choose from a variety of accounting and business electives, including:

  • Information Systems Concepts and Applications
  • Database Management Systems Applications
  • Personal Finance
  • Marketing
  • Investments
  • Promotion Management
  • Principles of Finance in Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Federal Income Tax Accounting
  • Computerized Accounting

A.A.S. students take ACCT 201 and ACCT 205 in the spring semester of their 2nd year.

Admissions Requirements

Math preparation is important for this program and students should have completed math through NY State Math A or the equivalent with grades of at least B–. One year of science is also required.

Morrisville State College has a rolling admission policy; notification of acceptance begins November 1. SAT or ACT exams are recommended, and an on–campus interview is encouraged.
