The Computer Information Systems A.S. degree prepares students to continue their education in Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems in abachelor degree program. The student's educational experience is enhanced by the campus computing facilities. Students receive practical hands-on experience in interactive program development in a networked, client/server programming environment. Current languages taught are C++ and Visual Basic. Students also gain experience using the latest software packages for spreadsheets, graphics, database, communications, and multimedia development.

The Computer Information Systems A.S. degree is primarily a transfer program to four-yearbachelor degree programs.

Admissions Requirements

Morrisville State College has a rolling admission policy; notification of acceptance begins November 1. SAT or ACT exams are recommended, and an on–campus interview is encouraged.
