Business Mathematics

This course incorporates the development of arithmetical tools in the mechanics of computation and the fundamentals of problem solving. Emphasis is on the application of acceptable business procedures. Cash and trade discounts, principles of markup, payroll, simple interest, discounting notes and drafts, mortgages, property taxes, depreciation, profit distribution, financial statements and analysis, installment buying and insurance. Co-requisite: MAGN 101 3 credits (3 lecture hours), fall or spring semester
