Office Technology - Information Processing :: Field Trips
Mrs. Payette’s Machine Transcription class took a trip to Computers on Hand in Hamilton, New York. This facility focuses on training individuals who are interested in the career of medical transcription work.
Many doctor’s offices and hospitals outsource the medical transcription functions in and around the Central New York area. Should an individual wish to work out of their home, yet still have a successful career in the medical field, this is a field which is growing in leaps and bounds.
The Office Technology students gained a more thorough understanding of the unique language within the field of medical transcription and how many companies outsource this function rather than employ transcriptionists in their office.
