Course Description

Legal Implications RR Industry

This course will cover legal principles governing hospitality operations. Case studies involving the resort and recreation industry will be emphasized. Topics include responsibilities for loss or injury to guests and guest property, inn maker relationships tax laws, labor laws, building codes and public health regulations. Admissions Requirements

A high school average of 80 or greater, 3 units of Regents math or equivalent and minimum SAT scores of 500 in math and 450 in verbal. Transfer students must have a GPA of 2.75, 3 units of Regents math or college math equivalents, and a basic literacy with computers.

Morrisville State College has a rolling admission policy; notification of acceptance begins November 1. SAT or ACT exams are recommended, and an on–campus interview is encouraged.
