Individual Studies A.A., A.A.S., A.S.

Home

Individual Studies is a unique independent program for students who know what they want and where they want their first two years to take them. What kind of students are these?

Students Who Are Creative
One student decided to put together a unique program in zoo animal handling. Courses came from across several curricula including Horse Nutrition (the closest course to feeding camels), Zoology, Wildlife Management, and more.

Students Who Want a Particular Major Not Offered at Morrisville State College
One student wanted to spend his first two years at Morrisville State College before transferring to a baccalaureate degree program to major in pharmacology. He checked the transfer college's program of study for the first two years, and duplicated those two years at Morrisville in preparation for transfer.

Students Who Want Specific Skills For Job Opportunities Or Promotion
One student needed an associate degree for a promotion at work and designed her own course of study which concentrated on the skills necessary for the job she was aiming for.
