Career Opportunities
There are a variety of career opportunities available for graduates, specific to their chosen concentration.
Completing the natural resources concentration will ready graduates for jobs in government, environmentally focused non-governmental organizations, and in the private sector (environmental/science journalism, museum curator, health administration, grant writing and consulting, etc.).
Completing the information technology concentration will prepare graduates for jobs in government (education and training, political campaign work, technology policy positions, etc.) and in the private sector (securing positions in knowledge management, Web site development, network analysis, design and implementation, etc.).
Additionally, degree holders may choose to pursue a graduate degree at any of a number of colleges and universities offering STS advanced study, such as Cornell University or Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
