Course Description

Arch CAD Drafting & Design

This course will introduce computer-aided drafting and design (CAD) software specifically designed for utilization in and application to the field of architecture. Using CAD, students will first learn to generate professional quality two-dimensional drawings and details. Then students will explore three-dimensional projection and material application, culminating in the creation of realistic color renderings of buildings and furnishings. Admissions Requirements

Two-year advising sequence:

  • Desired: Additional unit of defined math, art sequence, computer-aided drawing, architectural drawing, history, and a portfolio.

Three-year advising sequence:

Students lacking one or more requirements for the two-year advising sequence will be considered for the three-year advising sequence.

  • Desired: Art sequence, computer-aided drawing, architectural drawing, additional English, history and a portfolio.

Morrisville State College has a rolling admission policy; notification of acceptance begins November 1. SAT or ACT exams are recommended, and an on–campus interview is encouraged.
