Automotive Technology A.A.S. :: Home
The A.A.S. degree program in Automotive Technology at Morrisville
State College prepares students for entry into the automotive
industry. With experience, Morrisville students may quickly advance
to supervisory positions, dealing directly with customers, estimating
material and labor costs and directing the work of others.
In this program, students receive practical laboratory experience in
diagnosis of driveability problems, auto body repair and refinishing,
fuel systems, brakes, steering, suspensions, automatic transmissions
and engines.
Morrisville State College automotive faculty maintain strong ties with
professional organizations, government agencies, major automobile
manufacturers, oil companies and program graduates to ensure that
the program is at the forefront of automotive industry awareness.
Admission Requirements
A high school graduate entering the Automotive Technology A.A.S.
program must have a minimum high school average in the C to C+
range and have completed New York State Math A or the equivalent.
Additional mathematics and science are desired. Vocational training
is not a requirement.
Morrisville State College has a rolling
admission policy; notification of acceptance begins November 1.
SAT or ACT exams are recommended, and an on–campus interview
is encouraged.
