Course Description

Automotive Electronics III

Application of the principles of diagnostics to the design, operation, service and repair of today’s sophisticated computerized automotive systems. Troubleshooting problems with the ignition system, sensors, and networks with multimeters, labscopes, and scan tools is emphasized Prerequisites: AUTO 103, AUTO 104, or permission of instructor. Co-requisite: AUTO 205 3 credits (2 lecture hours, 3 laboratory hours), fall semester

Admissions Requirements

A high school graduate entering the Automotive Technology A.A.S. program must have a minimum high school average in the C to C+ range and have completed New York State Math A or the equivalent. Additional mathematics and science are desired. Vocational training is not a requirement.

Morrisville State College has a rolling admission policy; notification of acceptance begins November 1. SAT or ACT exams are recommended, and an on–campus interview is encouraged.
