The Computer Information Systems A.S. degree prepares students to continue their education in Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems in a bachelor degree program. The student's educational experience is enhanced by the campus computing facilities. Students receive practical hands-on experience in interactive program development in a networked, client/server programming environment. Current languages taught are C++ and Visual Basic. Students also gain experience using the latest software packages for spreadsheets, graphics, database, communications, and multimedia development.

The Computer Information Systems A.S. degree is primarily a transfer program to four-year bachelor degree programs.
