The program participates in IBM ThinkPad University, so a laptop computer is integrated into the curriculum. Software specific to the degree includes: the OrCad PSpice, Altera, and Proteus circuit simulation packages, the LabView (virtual lab instrument) graphical programming package, and Metratek's Waveform–Lite oscilloscope display–capture software.
